Petaluma, CA. December 1st, 2010-- December 31st, 2010. Gerhardt “ISHA” Isringhaus an internationally collected and exhibited artist for over 44 years is showing his latest city and landscape oil paintings at the Apple Box in Petaluma, CA December 1st, 2010 through December 31st, 2010 with an artist’s reception featuring live music from 6 to 8 PM on December 3rd.
ISHA (signature) returns to Sonoma County after living and traveling in the Midwest and East Coast for the last 15 years. “In these latest city and landscapes of Petaluma I’ve attempted to infuse the canvases with light and energy. There are elements of Realism here mixed with Expressionism and my own Naïve style.”
Among his many artistic influences are Sonoma County artists Vito Paulekas, Marvin Klebe, Bernard Zakheim, William Morehouse and Robert McChesney.
Born in St. Louis, MO in 1948, Mr. Isringhaus moved to California in the 1960’s. His work is collected and shown in New York, Los Angeles, London, San Francisco as well as Aspen and Asheville.
